About the Author
Ha Jin is a Chinese-American writer who has won numerous awards for his work, including the National Book Award for Fiction and the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. He was born in China in 1956, and he came to the United States in 1985. He is the author of seven novels, including War Trash, Waiting, and A Free Life. He currently lives in Boston, Massachusetts.
